Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA)

DDPA (18 U.S. Code § 2721). This federal law safeguards the personal information of licensed drivers from improper use or disclosure. It requires permission to be obtained from individuals before their personal motor vehicle record may be sold and restricts the subsequent use or disclosure of the information.
